Trish Tokar became a photographer because she loved capturing a moment in time. From the second she looked through a viewfinder and pressed the shutter, she had a camera in her hand. Trish has combined the styles of photojournalism, candid imagery and formal portraiture to create timeless photographs that delight the viewer and epitomize the art of photographic storytelling.
Originally from the east coast, Trish attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, with the dream of pursuing a career in the exiting world of fashion. After many rewarding years in the industry, having her jewelry and accessory designs featured in magazines including Elle, In Style, Harper's Bazaar, Mademoiselle, Cosmopolitan and Glamour, Trish decided it was time to follow her passion and started working as a freelance photographer.
Trish's live music photos have been published by Rolling Stone, Fender's Frontline, The Hollywood Reporter, New York Daily News, The Guardian and various magazines and newspapers internationally. Working in challenging lighting conditions, her imagery captures the true essence of the performer and the raw energy of the live stage. As an editorial entertainment photographer for Getty Images, Trish covers movie premieres, concerts, fashion shows and special events throughout the Los Angeles area.
